Julia Upshaw she is 71 years old.
Winning "Best of Show" was the greatest honor of her weaving career.
Steve and Julia have been working together for over 10 years. Steve Getzwiller said, "Poncho Serape's haven't been made since the 1870s. It is something that I have worked to bring back, as a wearable art. This Poncho is made of silk fibers, the dyes are natural - Indigo Blue and Cochineal Red."
Below is a look at this work of wearable art on the loom;and modeled by Julia and Marissa.
